SHW Garden Tools are forged in a factory in the Black Forest of Germany that has been active since 1267 (!). They forge their tools from quality carbon steel and turn out some very nice ash handles. I consider them an excellent choice for those who want a tool that is durable, effective and reliable, all at a reasonable price.
