If you like to have a few essential tools on-hand, without carrying around a small weight on your belt, a Leatherman Skeletool CX may be a good choice.
Leatherman did a good job on this multi tool, managing to include the more commonly used tools, while keeping the size down enough that it slides easily in and out of a pocket. It’s light enough that you can forget that it’s in your pocket, unlike many of their larger models.
The CX has a durable, edge retaining 154CM steel, pretty looking carbon fiber on the frame, and a plain (not serrated) blade.
